Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using BE FREE ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use BE FREE. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. Users between 13 and 18 should have parental consent.

3. The App is a support tool — not a clinical service

BE FREE provides:

• A sobriety counter and streak tracker
• Daily faith practice logging (prayer, Bible reading)
• Scripture-based encouragement
• An emergency support toolkit (music, contacts)

BE FREE does not provide:

• Medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
• Licensed counseling or therapy
• Crisis intervention services
• Sponsorship relationships

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns. For addiction recovery, we strongly encourage participation in community programs such as AA, NA, or Celebrate Recovery alongside using this app.

4. Account and security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at itssaaantababy@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized account use.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the App's source code
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or infrastructure
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
• Use the App in any way that could harm other users or third parties

6. Content and intellectual property

All content in BE FREE — including design, code, text, graphics, animations, and the concentric ring visual system — is owned by BE FREE and protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit written permission.

Scripture quotations are from publicly available translations and are used in accordance with their respective licenses.

7. User-generated content

BE FREE does not currently support user-generated public content. Data you enter (sobriety dates, prayer logs) is private and visible only to you.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BE FREE and its creator(s) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or any harm resulting from:

• Your use or inability to use the App
• Relapse or negative health outcomes
• App downtime or data loss

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim (if the App is free, this is $0).

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the App shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of San José, Costa Rica.

If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws, you retain the protections of those mandatory laws of your country of residence.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
